I saw this over at Shelley’s, and thought it sounded like a great question for all of you:
“This can be a quick one. Don’t take too long to think about it. Fifteen books you’ve read that will always stick with you. First fifteen you can recall in no more than 15 minutes.”
Wow, this is a little harder than I thought it would be...
1. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
2. The Red Tent by Anita Diamant
3. Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah
4. Tiger Eyes by Judy Blume
5. Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher
6. The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons
7. Forever . . . by Judy Blume

Ok, my 15 minutes are up and I only got through about half. This one is hard for me, because I rarely re-read books, and if a book sticks with me that much I will re-read it. There are so many new ones out there that I have a hard time going back to ones I've already read. There are lots of books I could tell you about, but I don't know how many of them I will remember always...

I've always meant to read Outlander and The Phantom Tollbooth. I'll have to remedy that someday.
Diana Gabaldon and Anita Diamant are two authors I plan to read for the first time this year.
I had a hard time too... I hear fantastic things about The Red Tent. Loved Diamant's Last Days of Dogtown, just haven't had a chance to read Tent yet. Have you read the Last Days?
I have Outlander on mine too...who could read it and not have it burned into their brain?!
Forever! I am remembering so many books since I'm looking on everyone's list. Good list.
Got a few new ones from your list. Here's mine.
You have really great picks. I'm impressed. I can't believe how many I've missed from visiting other blogs!
I almost put Forever by Judy Blume...it is one that has stayed with me through the years.
I totally forgot the Tiger Eyes book!!! DRAT!!!
I haven't done mine yet, but Forever could be on mine. But honestly there are several Judy Blume could end up on my list! It is hard, and I figure I'm cheating because I've been thinking about this list while cleaning my house...
I enjoyed Outlander, but it didn't quite make my list which is here
I loved The Red Tent...should have included it on my list! I still think about it.
Nice list. I completely forgot The Red Tent - it would have been a contender for my list.
I have Thriteen Reasons Why on my list also. I listened to the audiobook format and there's no way i'll be able to forget this one.
Good list. "The Phantom Tollbooth" is on my TBR list for this year - I've wanted to read it for the longest time.
Jess: I haven't read Last Days yet, but it is on my shelf.
Zia: I listened to the audio too. Wonderful!
I hope if you haven't read Phantom Toolbooth you do. It's one I want to re-read soon. I remember loving it so much.
The Phantom Tollbooth! I loved that book and had forgotten all about it!
Funny how different our lists can be. I haven't read those you list but most on my list go back years.
Loved Forever! Loved! :-)
Thanks for visiting my post. I have The Red Tent, I have not read it yet. It was part of my daughter's required reading for a college class. I kept the book after she was done with it. A friend told me it was very good. I see from some of your comments that others thought so too. Guess I better read it soon.
I confess that I may have taken more than 15 minutes to do my list.
I had the opposite problem -- I could have listed 20.
I don't think I have ever read any of those.
There are many I'd love to reread, but there are too many new ones stacked up on my shelf to do so any time soon.
Thanks for visiting!
I have my eyes on Thirteen reasons why!
Enjoy your weekend :)
I love this week's BTT question. So fun! I haven't read any of the books on your list, but two I hope to get to one of these days. :-)
I loved The Red Tent. I wasn't impressed by The Phantom Tollbooth, but my daughter really enjoyed it.
