I really loved it, but I like character books. The only thing that didn't sit well with me was the ending. I just thought, really? Putting them together? To me it was a cop out.Trish @ Love, Laughter, Insanityhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17225576485797030511noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5169780697300333304.post-14669979331322564532009-05-27T23:29:52.510-06:002009-05-27T23:29:52.510-06:00This book has been on my TBR ever since it was pub...This book has been on my TBR ever since it was publishsed however, the more reviews I read about it the more I think I will pass on it.Teddy Rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16145413222317511542noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5169780697300333304.post-23273223900830306612009-05-27T19:27:06.306-06:002009-05-27T19:27:06.306-06:00I have been wanting to read this one, even with al...I have been wanting to read this one, even with all the mixed reviews I've read about it. I recently read a few chapters of another book by this author, called Run. I thought it was terrible and I didn't end up getting all the way through it. I found the prose to be a little clumsy and the character integration was awkward. I also have Truth and Beauty on my shelf. I have heard that it is excellent and that there is a lot of controversy surrounding it. I am excited to read it. I think it showcased the ability of people to adapt to even the strangest circumstances and the fact that if humans are placed into contact with other humans long enough, the similarities will emerge more than the differences.

Of course, we can only hope that happens in real life, but I thought it was very interesting.Meghanhttp://chikune.com/blognoreply@blogger.com
